Abstract
ρ{variant}0 is produced in the final state pn π+π- with a cross-section of σ = 100 ± 30 μb. The ρ{variant}0 is observed only when the neutron in pnπ+π- is emitted in the forward direction and the proton is emitted in the backward direction in the c.m.s. Single ρ{variant}0 production in nucleon-nucleon collisions is discussed in terms of two I = 1 meson exchange diagram, and is compared to ρ{variant}0 production in pion-nucleon collisions.
