Abstract
The coherent production of the final state pdπ+π- is studied in pd interactions at 7 GeV/c. The reaction is dominated by strong production of Δ++(1236) and by a low-mass dπ- enhancement (d*) at ∼ 2200 MeV. The pure I = 1 2 pπ+π- spectrum shows a significant narrow peak at ∼ 1470 MeV lying on a small background. A double-Regge fit describes the low mass region on the average, but does not reproduce the narrow peak.
