Abstract

Two methods are described for experimental determination of interfacial strengths of carbon nanotubes (CNT) in a polymer matrix. These SPM‐based techniques allow real‐time monitoring of the dynamics of a single pullout event. A comparison and contrast of these different techniques is presented here. Correlations found with the tube diameter give insights as to the nature of the CNT‐polymer interaction.
