Abstract

We have studied the inclusive reaction pn → p + anything in the fragmentation region of the neutron using pd interactions at 11.6 GeV/c beam momentum. We find that for low values of transverse momentum p_t and |x| ≥ 0.7 the one-pion-exchange contribution is significant. This is in qualitative agreement with the model of Bishari.
